Splendid day riding through the winter salad bowl east of Yuma enroute to Dateland, AZ.
The ride today was 70 miles with a high temp of 86 degrees. Dateland is known for dates and cactus shakes. If you have never had a cactus shake they are sweet, but very good!

The next two photos are vegtable fields in the Winter salad bowl. This is a beautiful area that reminds the authors of the central valley in California.

On the way to Dateland we noticed that we have 184 miles until our first rest day in Tuscon. We will have covered approximately 450 miles since leaving San Diego.
After the ride we sat in a circle enjoying cool beverages and appetizers sharing stories from the day.
We ended the day with a beautiful sunset in the Arizona desert.
