One of our favorite days of the ride is to Sanderson, Texas. It was a beautiful day that ended in the low 80s. On day 22 we experienced pistol packing waitresses, dinosaurs and a pamper zone with adult beverages in front of the county courthouse. Only in Texas!!
Meet our waitresses at the Ranch House Restaurant. Now that we have your attention lets share more about our day....
We experienced a beautiful sunrise this morning at camp in Marathon, Texas.
This was the scene as we pulled into the Ranch House resturant.
Back to the two waitresses who were a hit with the riders and locals.
The waitresses were feeling slightly overwhelmed serving lunch to such a large group, but understandably we did not complain!!
While paying our lunch bill we noticed this souvenir t-shirt that certainly caught our attention.
As we settled in for the afternoon, we set up the pamper zone with adult beverages under a shady tree by the county courthouse. Only in Texas!!
That's all for today..... Tommorow we cycle 81 miles to Comstock.

Hours at the Ranch House appear to be highly variable. The good news is we were able to enjoy smoked brisquit and take in all the Sanderson has to offer.

In a town with a waitress with a gun why would it be unreasonable to see a dianasour chasing a bike rider. We will see how closely the 2018 coasters are following the blog 😁

Looks like the dinosaur is chasing Maggie! My question for the authors: why didn't you invite this rider for an adult beverage more than once. Old fashions are one of my favorites (along with Manhattans),
ReplyDeleteYou are correct, it is Maggie. The key difference this year is Henry's Yetti. That is a game changer wrt making and sharing beverages.
DeleteSorry Cathy!! Total party foul!!
