Yesterday was the tale of two rides for 74 miles. We left at sunrise; though the bloggers made that up because it was so damn cloudy and we didn't see the sun the entire morning.
By lunch though, the weather had totally turned around. The sun came out, the birds were chirping, the bluebonnets were blooming and the afternoon turned out to be the finest the authors EVER experienced, which would be expected on a day as special as this!
The day began on a biblical note with Rudy also known as Jesus was gathering his men and mice on the banks of the historic Frio River. The lead blogger can be seen in the background of this photo waking up from a long night on the river and has a look of glorious exhultation of what lies ahead.
As today's blog is getting way to long.....we are going to cut to the chase. We reached Hunt, Texas the halfway point of the ride and Adrian poses for a proper halfway point photo.
Henry on the other hand shows up and sees the pink X and poses like the ride is over.
After being told told by the photographer he is only at the halfway point he lowers his bike to a more appropriate position.
We cycled by many beautiful homes along the Guadalupe River.
So our ride today ends in Kerrville, one of the coolest towns in the Texas Hill country. The Pint & Plow is a gathering spot for locals and riders like Henry and Texas Dave.
We had a celebratory dinner for the halfway point with lobster and ......
Tenderloins..... Oh my ... what a treat!!!
