Day 24 - Comstock to Brackettville

The morning started with a misty fog the first 40 miles. Visibility was limited from a safety standpoint.  The group had a great lunch in Del Rio at Rudy's.  Henry had eight tenths of a pound of brisquit and still managed lead the group into camp the final 35 miles.

We are both excited about cycling to the Texas Hill country tommorow...... Texas rolling hills, bluebonnets, brisquit,  BBQ and local craft beer.

After mile 11 we noticed this road sign.   First stop was Del Rio for lunch followed by Bracketville for the evening.

Unlike the high wind videos....this is the first version titled 'low visibility'

We ended the final 35 miles on a heavily traveled route along highway 90.  Fortunately, we leave highway 90 tommorow and will not see this highway until Florida.  The authors are excited about this development having spent the past week on highway 90 with rough roads and a 75 mph speed limit.

  2. One of my favorite days is coming up...the ride to Kerrville! It wasn't the easiest by any means, but I think it was the most scenic and interesting. Watch out for the mountain lions!
