Crossed into the seventh state - Alabama. This was a 78 mile ride into southly headwinds most of the day. We ended the day by the ocean for the first time since leaving San Diego!!
Crossing into Alabama, Adrian shows off his pole dancing skills on the Alabama Scenic Byway Coastal Connection sign. Oh my....
When Adrian wasn't pole dancing, he was riding with the ladies today. From right to left meet Johanne, Timi Jo & Sherry.
With southerly head winds we had a nice pace line going to mile 58. Seen here are Sherry, Tom, Johanne & Timi Jo.
Since the welcome to Alabama sign was gone with all of the bullet holes from last year, it appears some local residents opened fire on this sign instead. We must be in NRA country.
Adrian is seen climbing the bridge to Dauphin Island.
Coming down the bridge towards Dauphin Island was a welcome sight since it will be our home the next two nights.
We couldn't help notice this welcome sign entering Dauphin Island as America's Birdiest Coastal Town. We agree with this given the diversity of birds we saw cycling near the Gulf.
A young family was enjoying the afternoon along the coast near our campsite for the evening. It's great to see the ocean again!
